A Sweet Customer Party: by Candy and Cake

 I am head over heals in LOVE with this sweet birthday party by Candace from Candy and Cake!
Candace contacted me a few months ago about the floral invitation that I designed for HGTV and asked me to create some matching food labels.  Candace chose this adorable boho chic theme for her little one's first birthday that combined sweet florals and elephants with this lovely color palette. This party is filled with sweet details and homemade touches.  Candace also created most of these gorgeous desserts and designed and created the cake.  I'm in love with this cake, people!!!  These stunning photos were taken by Juli Labrecque Photography and you can see even more lovely photos of the party, here, on the blog On To Baby.

A Paris Party : by a sweet customer

It is no secret that I LOVE Paris.  So, when my friend and neighbor Kathryn Whitaker, from the blog Team Whitaker told me she was throwing a Paris party for her daughter Anna - Laura, I was thrilled.  I knew the party would be fabulous as Kathryn goes all out for her little one's parties.  I couldn't wait to see the pictures of all the details, and let me tell you... the party was darling! The party included a brunch served in their lovely backyard, amazing activities such as crepe making, Eiffel tower making, pin the butterfly on the Eiffel tower, and delicious sweets such as Macarons (of course!!).

A peek inside...

The other day I was thinking about how I rarely post personal things on this blog or give sneak peeks into my family and life.  It's weird that I don't, considering that my little family is what takes up most of my love and attention.  I think I may just start letting my readers in a little more. :)

I will always cherish these sweet photos taken by Katie Metka.  I chose a photo session for my birthday gift this year, and I feel it is one that I will cherish for a life-time.  Don't tell my husband but it will probably be what I ask for every year now. ;)  Katie did such a lovely job.... love, love, love.

A sweet party by peekaboo photography

I have frequented the blog and lovely photos of peekaboo photography for years now.  Kate and her husband work as a team and seriously take some of the dreamiest images of families and little ones.  They have three adorable daughters and Kate recently had a post on her blog about her youngest daughter, Lyla's birthday party.  I simply had to share this sweet cherry filled event.  I ADORE the theme, the venue, and the details.

they call me mama.

I cannot tell you how much these two little guys mean to me.  They are two of the greatest blessings I have known in this life.  Everyday they touch my heart in some way or another and my heart grows more in love with them everyday.  {look at those faces... how could you not love them, really.}

I pray every night that I would be the best mom that I can be and that I care for them in the way that they need the most.  I hope I make them proud.

I have certainly learned so much from my beautiful mom who has shown me unconditional love and support every. minute. of every. day.  I also believe I am a better person and mom because of the sweet mother in law I have been blessed with.

Our Easter weekend

So, these pictures are a bit late, but I thought better late then never. :)  These pictures are from our Easter weekend.  We had a great weekend!  Not only was it Easter but I turned the big 33 on Saturday so there were many reasons to celebrate. :)  Our weekend included dying eggs, a fun brunch, kites in the park, a family photoshoot... it was truly amazing and I feel very blessed.  I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend as well!

My super Niko turns 4!

I'm thrilled that my little party was featured on Amy Atlas today!  What an honor to be featured on the blog of such a talented and creative person!  Head over there to see more pics of Niko's party!

I wanted to share a few shots that didn't make it on the Amy Atlas post with you...  I have to say this party turned out so great!  I really tried to capture Niko's love of superheroes and personalize the party just for him.  I invited just 2 families to the party knowing that Niko prefers small groups and that he would have the most fun with just a small handful of friends.  Everything turned out so wonderful from the lovely vendors I used (see credits below) to the sweet friends that celebrated with us that day... it was a great day.

I want to do another post very soon as well showing you the book that my husband wrote and I illustrated for Niko called The Adventures of Super Niko.  It turned out so great, and I think it would be a fun idea for many!

Another Party/Photoshoot Full of Color

A rainbow party : by Cake Inc.

Cake Inc. is a lovely company that creates lovely cakes and paper goods.  I love so many of their parties including this one.  My mind is on rainbow parties this week as I am working on some new paper designs that are more multi-colored and fun.  Don't you love the details of this party??  I love the rainbow flowers, adorable cake and the gold coin favors!  Please head to Cake Inc.'s blog to look at more details of this party and their other adorable parties!!
