24 August 2010

How cute is this race car themed dessert table? I really love the black and aqua, and I think I may need this cake for my son's 3rd birthday party! This party is brought to you by Julie Desmeules, owner of Blue Cupcake. You can view her blog, here and her flickr page, here.

Parties that inspire ... Pink Lemonade

18 August 2010

How sweet is this party? I came across this adorable party last week and just had to share it with you. I immediately fell in love with the details, the theme, and the adorable little girl being celebrated here. Her mom Pam Burrus put together such a memorable party for her daughter's first birthday. You must check out her blog to see the rest of the pictures - very inspiring!

Trend in Parties: food vendors that make a statement

16 August 2010

There is a new emerging trend in parties these days, and I am starting to see it popping up in parties everywhere. The trend is to have unique food vendors cater your event. I have seen adorable ice cream carts like this one, doughnut makers, traveling cupcake bars, and more. I have to say I LOVE the idea. One of my recent customers told me she was going to have an ice cream truck at her daughters party passing out unlimited ice cream. Gosh, I would love to go to a party like that, wouldn't you??

The company above is Sweet Lucie's. Their vintage cart, sweet organic ice cream, and ice cream truck is nothing but lovely! Read their sweet story on their website, here.

A Citrus theme...

11 August 2010

I love the idea of a citrus themed party - especially in the summer months! These citrus cupcakes are so fresh and sweet. I also like the arrangement with a small cake and cake topper on the top of the stand. This is a very do-able DIY project! These lovely photographs came from L'amour.

Parties that inspire ... Robot

09 August 2010

This is an adorably modern robot themed first birthday party. I found this party while looking through Flickr the other day and just had to share! The very talented Cindy from Milk Tea and Polkadots designed all the adorable paper goods for this event. You can see more pictures from the party on her flickr page, here.

From the studio...

06 August 2010

This week we have been hard at work designing a new "bubble gum machine" invitation and thank you note inspired by our theme of the week. We will have this up in our shop very soon (as well as another colorway option.) Enjoy, and have a great weekend!

Color trend - pink and green

05 August 2010

This color trend has been around for a while, and it is what I like to call a classic. This is a wonderful choice for your next party if you tend to be more traditional. If you like the colors, but want to mix it up a bit try using vintage tones of the 2 colors... maybe a mint green with a rosy pink... (like this party idea here) or you can make the combination pop with a bright citrus green and a vibrant fuchsia - so many fun options!
